LABORATORIES:

Currently the Program has the following spaces:
Postgraduate Secretariat has the following equipment: 4 desktop computers; 1 notebook; 2 multimedia; 2 screens for projection; 1 microphone with amplifier box, 1 Laser printer.

We also highlight the improvement in our staff of employees linked to the UFC. During the year 2015 we received a second official to serve as secretary. In 2015 the secretary, Paula da Paz Palácio retired and we are waiting for the replacement of the vacancy. So, to this date we have a secretary, Valéria Oliveira. In 2016, we continue with a secretary, the servant Valéria  Oliveira.

Department of Pathology of the DPML-UFC: under the responsibility of Prof. José Telmo Valença This laboratory is responsible for the processing of all biopsies, surgical specimens and necropsies from patients in the university hospital complex of the Fortaleza campus of the UFC and Hospital São José de Enfermagem Infecciosas. Laboratory of Pathology Prof. Livino Pinheiro, from the Cancer Institute of Ceará, under the responsibility of Dr. Maria do Patrocinio Grangeiro, has contributed to the accomplishment of immunohistochemistry and source of research material.

Laboratory of Immunology, coordinated by Prof. Edson Holanda, with the following equipments: 1 Flow cytometer capacity for simultaneous analysis of 4 colors and 6 parameters. Laboratory of Cancer Cytogenetics (LCCM), under the responsibility of prof. Ronald Feitosa Pinheiro, is equipped with: laminar flow hood security level 3; CO2 stove with water jacket; Refrigerated centrifuge; Freezer -80; Image capture system; In-situ hybridization system, Real-time PCR platform, Next-Generation (Illumina) sequencing platform.

Laboratory of Hemoglobinopathies and Hematological Genetic Diseases, under the responsibility of Profa. Molecular Biology Laboratory, under the responsibility of Prof. Cristiane Frota, with the participation of Prof Danielle Malta Lima, has: two thermocyclers for PCR (Applied Biosystems GeneAmp 9700 and Eppendorf), electrophoretic source, horizontal vats for electrophoresis, transilluminator Ultraviolet light coupled to image scanning system, digital water bath, freezers at 80oC, microcentrifuge, heater blanket, digital scale, digital pH meter, Nano-spectrophotometer and refrigerated microcentrifuge.

Laboratory of Parasitary Immunopathology, under the responsibility of Professor Maria Jania Teixeira, has as main equipment: laminar flows (2), CO2 greenhouse for cell culture (1), BOD (3) greenhouse, refrigerated centrifuge (2), cytospin ( 1), sonicator (1), microcentrifuge (2), inverted microscopes (2), optical microscopes (5), immunofluorescence microscope (1), coupled camera microscope (1), ELISA readers (3), pH meter (2), precision scales (3), magnetic stirrers (3), heating plates (2), thermocycler (1), cooling system (1), refrigerated microcentrifuge Of electrophoresis (1), freezers -70 ° C (1). Research Laboratory in Parasitology and Molluscan Biology (LPBM) under the responsibility of prof. Fernando SM Bezerra, having as main equipment: greenhouse, electrophoresis system with horizontal tank, high speed centrifuge, spectrophotometer, bench top, inverted microscope, translucent, BOD stove, thermocycler, ELISA reader, plate washer, 80 ° C. Performs maintenance of S. mansoni cycle.
Laboratory of Immunophenotyping, under the coordination of prof. José Ájax N. Queiroz. In this lab prof. Max V. C. Freitas, coordinator of the Immunology sector of the DPML. It has the following equipment: flow cytometer with computer and printer; Stove with CO2 jacket with water jacket; Vertical laminar flow; Magnetic stirrer adjustable with heating; Water bath w / temp. adjustable; Digital centrifuge; Inverted microscope; optical microscope; Immunofluoreceptor microscopy; Automatic pipettor; Precision analytical balance; Vortex; Desktops with color laser printer.

Multiuser Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Pathology, under the coordination of Prof. Margarida Maria de Lima Pompeu, has: 1 histological processor; 1 station of inclusion; 2 semi-automatic microtomes; 1 cryostat; 1 optical microscope; 1 immunofluorescence microscope; 1 freezer-80oC; 1 freezer -20 oC.

Small animals vivarium, under the responsibility of Prof. Maria Jania Teixeira and Profa. Maria da Conceição Dornelas, who maintains lineage of BALB / c mice and golden hamster for experimental trials and isolation and passage of leishmania strains.

Self-learning room: practical classroom that has three microscopes for five observers.
